This quern was used to grind grain into flour using millstones. The lower stone, called the bedstone, remained stationary while the upper stone (the runner) rotated above it. The millstone was operated by hand, with a crank transmitting power through gears to drive the rotation. Grain was fed to the stones through a hopper, and the flour was collected in a container below. This device was built in the 1930s and donated to the National Agricultural Museum by Eva Králová of Řepiště.
