| The combined grass and grain crops reaper was made by the company Knotek a spol. Jičín. It had a patented folding mechanism, which allowed one person to quickly lower and lift the roller. The machine had an exceptionally long service life. The company Knotek a spol. was founded in 1880 originally as a machine warehouse. In 1896 the Knoteks started to manufacture reapers, which they also sold abroad. The company prospered even in the 1930s when Czechoslovakia was in the midst of economic crisis. In 1948 the company was nationalized and changed name to Agrostroj Jičín. | |
