Milan Svoboda is Independent historian, experimental retro-gastronomist.


He is a lecturer specializing in the history of dining, aristocratic food culture, and early modern culinary traditions.

He lectures on cultural heritage interpretation at the Department of Tourism at Metropolitan University Prague.Currently, he is a PhD student at the Institute of Historical Sciences within the Faculty of Philosophy and Science at the Silesian University in Opava.

His PhD research examines the gilded-bronze tableware of the Princes of Metternich-Winneburg, a unique highlight of the Kynžvart Château art collection.

He bridges theory and practice by organizing specialized workshops and courses dedicated to reviving historical cooking, traditional confectionery techniques, and period art of ice cream production.
