Photo Archive Sub-Collection

History of the Sub-Collection

The photo archive documents not only the historical development of agriculture, food production, forestry, and fishing and fish farming, but also the work and way of life of the rural population. It manages not only a large collection of negatives but also reproductions of historical documents originally written both on paper and on parchment, plans, maps, urbaria, and books. At the moment, this sub-collection includes photographic materials (black-and-white positives and negatives roughly since 1918, including negatives on glass plates), audio recordings, and video recordings (mainly from the 1950s and 1960s).
