Vegetable Growing Sub-Collection

History of the Sub-Collection

This sub-collection has been developed and added since the establishment of the Valtice branch of the National Museum of Agriculture. The most valuable items belonging to it are a wooden spade with iron fittings and a set of clay bells for covering asparagus from the first half of the twentieth century. Of special interest is also the Vajma packing machine for producing packaged seeds, which was donated to the museum by a plant breeding station in Valtice.
