New Zetor Tractor Simulator

In the Prague building of the National Museum of Agriculture, you can now take a ride in a Zetor Tractor simulator. The new tractor simulator has been developed specifically for the Tractor on the Move exposition and is a unique prototype in the Czech Republic. You can try driving through town or ploughing in the field.

It has always been a dream of little boys and girls, and often of their fathers and grandfathers, to jump up into the cab of a tractor to “see what it’s like”. The National Museum of Agriculture now makes such fun possible. Thanks to the company Zetor Tractors, which has donated components of the Zetor Major 80 and also shared in the experience of connecting controls from a real tractor with the simulator’s control system, the National Museum of Agriculture now has the first tractor simulator prototype in the Czech Republic.

New Zetor Tractor SimulatorThe tractor’s cab is fitted with real controls and you can try ploughing in the field or driving through town. Persons measuring over 150 cm (4 ft 11 in) can ride the simulator alone. There is no age limit, however small children must be accompanied by an adult. The simulator is based on a real model, and small children must as such not touch the controls. This is why we have also prepared push bikes and pedal tractors, the computer game Farming Simulator 2015, and the newly installed children’s digger just for them

The Tractor on the Move exhibition itself presents more than twenty types of tractors from both domestic and foreign manufacturers produced between 1917 and 1953. It is a selection from the museum’s most extensive collection, which maps the factory series of manufacturers such as Svoboda, Zetor, Wikov and John Deer. The variety of the exhibited tractors will capture visitors’ attention, and they can even take photos of some of them.

Other partners who have significantly contributed to making the tractor simulator a reality are Mitas, a.s., and ATP MOTORS.
