National Museum of Agriculture
The building of the Museum of Viticulture, Horticulture and Landscaping is on Valtické náměstí (Valtice Square). As a component of the complex of buildings that served the castle economic governance of the Liechtenstein estates from the second half of the 17th century, it was reconstructed and got its current appearance at the end of the 19th century. The National Agricultural Museum acquired the building in 1985.
The Valtice branch of the National Agricultural Museum now awaits reconstruction targeted not only at building and modification of the premises for new expositions, but also improvement of the conditions for keeping the museum collections. The Project for Modernisation of the premises and improvement of the management of the sub-collections of the NAM Valtice shall be funded from IROP and the Ministry of Agriculture, which is the founder of the National Agricultural Museum. The museum will continue operations throughout the reconstruction period.
